Debbie Vail Volunteer of the Year Award
Broomfield County Republicans presented the First Annual Deborah Vail Volunteer Award to Marty Robinson at their Holiday Party at Wunderland Brewery on December 7, 2017.
Debbie’s husband, Bob, attended with family members: Nikki Vail, Meghan and Rami Adis, and Debbie’s first grandchild, Decker. Members and friends celebrated by sharing fond memories of Debbie’s many contributions and endless volunteer efforts.
She became a member of Broomfield Republican in 2009. From that point in time, Debbie volunteered for every election season, until Fall of 2016, when her battle with cancer slowed her down. Even then, she volunteered to help from her home with phone calls and data input.
For several years, Debbie organized BRW’s “ Relay for Life” team efforts with a “Kickoff at Old Chicago in March; setting up the tents and relay schedule the first Friday in June, as well as participating in the survivors dinner. Debbie only missed the last few years participating in the Broomfield Days Parade by providing BRW with her decorated truck and manning the BRW/GOP tent. The list goes on..too many to mention.
Debbie was a true patriot. Proud to be an American and a Christian woman. Her faith, her courage and her humor were an inspiration to all of us who knew her and shared so many memories. Debbie would be so proud and delighted to know that this award will be presented in her name each year.
